I didn't miss out by 1 UMS, but I missed out on an A* in Chemistry by 2 UMS! BLOODY INVESTIGATION!
1 mark from an A in german, can't decide whether it's worth getting a remark considering i have a uni place, still v annoyed since i worked my arse off

I was 1 UMS away from an A in AS physics! & I worked my ass of for that subject as well
I got 2 A's in two of the exam modules, but then I flopped the ISA, got in D in that.

If it's AS just retake the ISA next year, or even better, do an EMPA instead. The grade boundaries for EMPA's are much nicer.
3 UMS off an A 
I know someone with A* Biology, A* Chemistry and A Maths, one mark off A*A*A*. Poor kid. Still got into his firm though 
1 UMS from an A in Chemistry and I want to go for Medicine.
