Missed offer, but course is in clearing. Can I get them to lower their offer?

ok i have ACC - 280 points. The course i want to go to requires 320 points at queen mary UoL. I've checked their website and all their maths courses are on clearing. Ive called them about 3 times asking if they'd consider lowering their offer but they reply saying i need to meet the requirements. Is there a chance of them lowering the requirements later or shall i look at a different option. One of my mates got in with ABC so i know they lower it for some.
