Meteorology students!

Ha, it is a stupid Wembley stadium :P It's about 3.20 for a pint at the Liberty. Gone up from last year as well. I will cry if you inflate the prices especially for me :P

Trust me, I'm gutted I'm not doing it as well lol. Although I plan to be around the department as much as I can, I have a real interest in it. I'll sit in lectures when I can. So still someone to have a rant about Wembley too if you want :P ha

Did you have a look around the Meteorology dept on the open day? I absolutely loved the look of it. Every Friday the department gets together to discuss the weather, I'm such a geek . I'm sure you'll do fine on the foundation year and then you will be a regular feature next year! I would rather not talk about Wembley, my memories of that dump are not pleasant!

I haven't been on an official open day. I went up there on my own to look at it. And I liked Ahh...in a whole two weeks you will be with other geeks who like talking about the weather :P how great will that be :P haha. I can understand not having fond memories of there :P I'm sorry for any Wembley digs you may get off me in the future lol

why met at reading stood out for me.
1/. on the general open day, I was mobbed by a very excited under grad, who gave me a tour of the labs and the kites.
2/. its the only uni with a specialist dept
3/. it has ducks
4/. the way they described the balcony as an 'elevated outdoor instrument testing area'.
5/. The way they ring the bell for the friday seminar!
and most importantly...

they fed me cookies!


I will slowly edge my cloud spotters guide out of sight so you can't see it and cover the shelf of met books....

Yeah i saw about the grades! I was panicing enough with 3 b's, then i blew myself away, opened the results and laughed at myself, and edinburgh for rejecting me. XD

yeah Jo was there as well.
That means you were on the same open day as me!
I mean met department not checking wind direction? XD. Sounds like my kinda place!
