Module outside Geography and job options

Hey,

I have to choose an extra module to do outside the school of Geography in my first year. I am slightly worried about my job options with just a Geography degree. However i know i won't regret choosing to do a subject i love no matter what the outcome.
My question basically is if I choose to do a module such as Economics (that is going to beef up my degree a bit), will this make any difference in the 1st year to job options? If not I prefer to do something I’d really enjoy like Politics, thanks.

Spoke to a friend who is already at university, she told me that employers don't look at your modules but at your degree result over all.
I'll talk to one of the advisors about it, but i get the feeling that its not going to make too much difference.

I'd do what really interests you ... as the chances are that you will end up doing something related to that aspect of geog after uni anyway .... and you'll do better in it (important if it counts towards your final grade)
