A-Level is split into two years, the first is AS, the second is A2 and both have a 50% weighting. In the first you take C1, C2 (core units) and one of S1 (stats), M1 (mechanics) or D1 (decision). In the second you have C3, C4 and another one from S1, M1 and D1.

yes you can!
it's 6 modules for the full alevel (3 for AS 3 for A2)
ok so you have to do C1, C2, C3 and C4 they're compulsory (the 4 pure ones)
and then any 2 applied modules you can choose
so you have mechanics: M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5
statistics: S1, S2, S3 and S4
decision maths: D1 D2
If you want to do Mechanics do M1 and M2 as your 2 applied. They're not hard, though you may find stats and decision easier. Up to you

For AS level: C1, C2, M1
For A2 Level: C3, C4, M2
(if you want to stick to just mechanics)

6 modules for a whole a-level, the core modules are c1,c2,c3,c4.
um.. yes i think you can sit them all in june 2011 but it would be very very hard, and you wouldnt recieve your AS level until you've done the 1st three.

You can in theory but not every exam centre will offer all 6 units at every session. Additionally you may find that there are clashes when 2 units have to be taken at the same time e.g. C1 and M1 (see timetable below). When this happens your exam centre has to be willing to let you do the 2 papers back to back. Talk to the exams centre about your plans. It may be better to do some units in January and others in May/June.
