Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions?lol it is full of them though, you see them driving around on their scally mobiles. I wouldn't want to live there but that's just me.(Original post by slawrence10)
ha ha I completely disagree.
I'm now entering forth year at Loughborough. We rented out a detached house in Shelthorpe this year (tenancy ended July) and it was the best year yet. -
Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions? There's loads of barbers situated everywhere. And if you prefer stylists and stuff, there's a few places in town that cater for us. Bliss and Keith hall are two I know of, plan on going to one of em on thurs. Bliss have student discount too, but it's still a bit expensive.(Original post by MikeyS)
I've got another question: where is the best place for all us guys to get our haircut in Loughborough? -
Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions?
Nice one mate- which barber would you recommend? Any we should avoid

Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions?Haha I wouldn't know. Only ever been to one once. Mums a hairdresser so obviously saved money there(Original post by MikeyS)

the one I went to was below Keith hall, forget the name. She did an alright job tbh.
Not sure where this happened but I know one of my old school mates went to an Italian barber and he had medium length hair - eye brow length. He asked for a trim and first thing he did was short back and sides. Hahaha seeing him the next day was hilarious -

PMSL! See this is the kind of establishment I wish to avoid, although I normally have short back and sides anyway so i'd be safe there :P

Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions?
I cant believe you are asking about about hair cuts! You're such women!
I have 3 Q's!
Is there a good art shop in town? I might need to buy supplies.
How far is it to town? Bus/walk?
Is there a large super market near the uni or do I have to go into town to find a large Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury's etc....
Chanks!

Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions?About 10mins walk tops from the union, if you walk at a leisurely pace! Less than 5mins on the bus, and costs £1.20.(Original post by x_Lexie_x)

In town there is a large Sainsbury's and a new Tescos. There's also a Morrisons on the northern end of town, that's quite a trek from campus. And there's also a huge Tesco Extra down Epinal Way (turn right out of the main uni entrance, heading away from town). The Sainsbury's and both Tescos are around about a mile away from campus.(Original post by x_Lexie_x)

Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions? There's an art shop at the college which is where i think most art students get bits and bobs from (opposite University entrance), and there's a place in town - don't know road name, but not far from Echos which some of friends would buy things from!(Original post by x_Lexie_x)

Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions? How about PM's?(Original post by x_Lexie_x)

But but but but..... HES SOOOOOOOO DREEEEEEEEAAAAAAMY!!!

How about you both just find a way to relieve the sexual tension?
haha -
Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions? Not in the slightest. In fact, you'd probably have more problems if were into sport but didn't play at a very high level because then it can be difficult to get onto a team. My only athletic union club was cheerleading in the last couple of years I was there, and I didn't feel like I missed out at all.(Original post by LY9)
I've applied to loughborough but I heard if I'm not into sports I will feel like an outcast and will not enjoy it at all. Is it true ? -
Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions? Not true. I don't play any sport and still manage to have a wonderful time.(Original post by LY9)

Re: I'm from Loughborough.. any questions?Hey! I work at the Tesco in Shelthorpe, we need our students(Original post by adelepops)
Yeah.. not a nice place! And now they have tesco in town, so there is no need to go there.. ever!!
It's amazing actually how many students don't know about the Tesco in town, or vice versa.
