Well, most of the good anime these days are licensed and therefore, illegal to download but most people still do that. They normally use Kazaa or something.

Anyways, here is a good site where you can download unlicensed anime like Naruto or Full Metal Panic Fomoffu: http://www.animesuki.com/

You'll need to download and install BitTorrent if you haven't got it though.

And yea, I'm a MASSIVE anime fan even I only managed to get into it about a year ago. I have seen Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Initial D, Love Hina and I'm currently going through Ruruoni Kenshin, Full Metal Panic 1&2, Naruto, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Scrapped Princess and Hunter X Hunter. God, I wished that there were more anime fans here in the Western world since it seems that a lot of people think it's crap because of all the cheap stuff they show on Toonami.

Anyways, I would suggest you start downloading the Naruto anime at the moment while it's unlicensed. It's on episode 65 at the moment and a new episode is shown every Wednesday in Japan and it's subbed and ready for download on Thursdays.

I don't download licensed animes, however it's still illegal to download unlicensed stuff, just less immoral -as you can't access the subbed versions any other way.

I think there is a lot of very good unlicensed anime out there, but they might be difficult to market/show to an American audience (thank goodness).

Most subbers stop subbing an anime once it is licensed (I'm pretty sure junkies aren't doing it).
And suki stops hosting links to licensed series' and they're more difficult to come across, though obviously some sites still sub/host them.

i didnt really enjoy chobits that much. i saw the anime, and found it to be really slow, then it turns into a typical clamp romance, with a fairly obvious ending.
full metal panic is a GREAT series. fumoffu is just hilarious. a must watch for any anime fan!!!

Err, the best manga is definately Ranma 1/2, no competition.

doubt it. there are loads more better series. ranma is good, and the stories are very funny, but it has super simple artwork, and it cant compare to many other series out there e.g. naruto, gto, love hina, kenshin, berserk

the best movie i have seen would probably be ninja scroll. but i like the series of Evangellion, orphen and trigun these r just a few of my faves though.
