Hey guys, question

I got a BCD in my As Levels this year, pretty happy considering I got EEU the year before so I resat my A's. Now they only problem I've had since my IGCSE's have been that ive always missed out on the C for English by a couple of marks and did it again last year and found out today that im once again 2 marks off my C. Would Uni's in the UK still accept me, If I did pretty good on my A levels but still had a D in english IGCSE?
