Re: Bath Uni Gymlol my thoughts exactly.. i wanted ensuite originally but applied too late.. my shared bathroom will be cleaned tho but still worried.. and gym showers are generally clean(Original post by anita21)
i want to know this too! (just in case of the unlikely event of a manky shower situation developing in our lovely eastwood non-cleaned bathrooms
)

Re: Bath Uni GymI've not checked it out yet, but I can't imagine that they'd give you access to all the facilities without there being showers available, particularly for people living off-campus wanting to exercise before lectures.(Original post by anita21)

I did just find this randomly whilst on the uni website, it's a map showing where showers are for people that have cycled in:

Re: Bath Uni Gym
I wouldn't worry about the online rates, I'm sure they don't include current students. I spoke to a new memberships guy last week and I'm sure the £209 and £279 were what he quoted, with no need to worry about peak/off-peak times either. I'm pos gonna join up this weekend as I live nearby, I'll let you know.

Re: Bath Uni GymOn there it did say student prices and it was still more than you say.(Original post by MellowedOut)

When you sign up though I would lvoe to know please as the only reason I decided I wasn't going to join was the price. -
Re: Bath Uni GymIt said this last year but when you arrive they will almost definately run a promotional thing for bath uni students which will be roughly £210ish for the gym and £280 for gym and classes. They did last year, I dont know anyone who paid more than that to join the gym.(Original post by ChelseyElla)

Re: Bath Uni GymIs the Sulis club gym actually free to use? Cause I have my car next year so getting to it wouldnt bother me and Id rather use a gym where I'm not going to see EVERYONE I know lol.(Original post by abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz)
That would be the sulis club which is about 20 walk away from campus -
Re: Bath Uni Gym
To those asking about showers, the swimming pools are free to use during certain times, so I suppose you could shower down there if you really need to. Though there are two showers in the eastwood houses, so one of the two should always be ok tbh. Which houses aren't getting cleaned this year then btw?

Re: Bath Uni Gymthey can, you can only park for 6 hours or something i can't remember what it said on the pay and display last time i parked on campus. First years however are not allowed cars, otherwise everyone would have a car on the car park. They can't keep track of which second/third/fourth year has a car.(Original post by Conorrr9)
Students can't park on campus! They'll be living privately in Bath
And besides you won't be parking up there for the whole 6 hours. When you get to the uni you'll find that your time table will have gaps anyways - i'd rather go home than sit in the library for 3 4 hours waiting for my next lecture
ah right fair enough, i don't think second years and above have 8:15s anyway because would be a nightmare on public transport - especially on those orange buses....... those things take the serious piss. You can be waiting next to starbucks for 30 minutes (on a week day) and no bus will turn up...... then all of a sudden ******* 3 of them appear(Original post by kvs_123)
not planning on using it to drive to campus unless I have an 8.15 or something just figured as I'm insuring it I may aswell have it with me.Last edited by abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz; 02-09-2010 at 23:09.
