Re: Merlin!^(Original post by Ellie_May :))
Oh yes! At last people agree with it
I saw the new trailer for series 7 today and I like how there will be dinosaurs! However, it's starting to get too americanised now. Not enough emotion in the storylines anymore
Totally agree! That's one of the reasons why I loved the Doctor's Wife so much, so sad so sad
But zomg! I LOVE this trailer -excitedflail-! It looks amaaazing, as ever, and I loved the soundtrack they put over it (can't think of the song off the top of my head)
And I think Gaius looks younger? xD Really sad that Merlin hasn't changed his clothes though, I hope Arthur doesn't just keep 'bullying' him now although I do love those Arthur Merlin moments

Above is a comparison between Series 4 and 5. -
Re: Merlin!yeah....he looks older! Apparently he might die in this season..which I hope he does not that I hate him..its because their needs to be someone dying!(Original post by Dalek1099)

The show would not be the same without Gaius-he is my favourite regular character they already removed Kilgharrah's main role in the series.

Re: Merlin!
You know what I like about Merlin? They understand when they need to shifty things along. This has allowed them to survive, when most series die before getting to series 5.
It must be admitted that Merlin has a scooby-doo style story-telling; it's quite repetitive. So they make some changes each series to shake dynamics up a bit.
Anyone on here should really know these, but I'll spoiler just in case. No series 5 spoilers.
Spoiler:ShowDragon being freed, Morgana's storyline, Uther's death, Arther becoming king, Lancelot knowing, then nobody but Gaius knowing again when Lancelot dies...
This is what keeps it good.
I like the programme a lot. Yes, it's a kids show, but it's bloody well-made. -

I agree - it's good to get a reminder so that we don't mistake Merlin for a conjurer of cheap tricks. I would like Arthur to find out about Merlin's wizardry via dragon-lording. For example, they are in such a bind that Merlin calls for the dragon. Maybe a more subtle way would work better, but I would love to see the look on Arthur's face. -

Normally he can use his magic to blast people out the way, but he'd have to use sneaky magic because he would have to escape Camelot's knights without killing them. Most of a series protecting the king from the shadows. Oh, I hope they have him banished for a time. -

Re: Merlin!Pretty sure they've skipped a year between all the series' so far.(Original post by Dalek1099)
Skipping a year is perfectly normal and I think they skipped a year between Series 3 and 4 too and often happens in many shows but 5 years is a bit extreme. -
Re: Merlin!I think they did but it hasn't been confirmed. Then again I find it hard to believe Merlin didn't need Kilgharrah for a whole year, between Series 1 and 2 because Kilgharrah only started helping merlin again at the start of Series 2,after a row at the end of Series 1 over him trying to sentence his mother to death and only wanting to be released.(Original post by SirMasterKey)
