Why can't institutions etc just be straight with you?
Below is an example relating to a similar experience I had recently...
You send enquiries regarding work experience to several institutions - some say no, some don't get back to you.
Thats fine, I can deal with that. What annoys me is when you get one who comes back with an ambiguous answer saying that they may be able to help you. You send emails back and forth for a few weeks, send them information.....then it turns all along they didn't have any positions available.
Its demoralising, and a waste of time. Why do people do it, to massage their egos?
