    Re: Ernst and Young Application
I'm applying for an internship for summer 2013 with EY. I had to complete a Strength Assessment online. I had been away for about a week on holiday after registering. I completed the assessment 10 days after receiving their email which said it should be completed within 3 days, which I didn't get until after my holiday.

I would like to think this would not put me at any disadvantage but interested if anyone know's the position? Would it be worthwhile contacting EY or nothing to worry about?

    Cheers,

I'd say contact them because normally they discontinue your application if you don't reply in time - let them know your circumstances.

Honestly I'm not sure there's anything to worry about. I applied the same as you, did their strengths assessment but I still haven't heard anything, not even a rejection. So I presume they're just taking their time, or else the big 4 are normally prompt with their notifications.

    Hi,

I am about to begin my application for EY but i was wondering how people went about answering these questions or any advice that would help.

    1. How do you support others in a team situation? Use examples that show this.
2.Do you seek out challenges to stretch yourself? Use examples to show why.
3.Why can other people rely on you? Give specific examples to illustrate.

I understand the questions have changed quite a bit from the previous year, which has made it difficult answering these.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
Is this for the general application form, or the second one that is just about your strengths?

There is no open questions involved in the application form this year.

But you could be expected to answer the similar competency questions at the first round interview.

Just structure your answer with STAR-Situation, Tasks, Actions, Results.

Address more on Actions and mention some relevant skills you have achieved at the end and explain why they are important for your career in Deloitte. E.g. you are enhanced on working with different people, which will fully prepare you to tackle the rigors at Deloitte because Deloitte focus on the team work...something like that.
