Oh wow cool. I hadn't noticed that! Yeah, I wouldn't have applied to my top choices either. Woo so you've got an interview at Imperial too. Although mine is this wednesday. Eek.
Ooh good luck. Mine was originally supposed to be this Wednesday but a lot of date changing had to take place because of exams haha. My friend had her interview there in December and they let you know of your offer within a week. She said it wasn't too bad and they didn't ask really hard geology questions, so you'll be fine

Oh cool. I was quite surprised to get an interview so fast though! My UCAS was processed on Saturday, and I got an email from them about an interview on Sunday night and then a phone call on Tuesday! They might ask me some geology questions though because I've already done one semester of geology at another uni. But oh well. There's only gonna be 16 people at my interview day! I just hope I get an offer. I really have no idea how many offers they are going to give out though.

Wow that was quick! They were quick with me but not that quick. Maybe it's because this day was harder to fill because of it being exam time so less people are available. Oh right yeah they asked her some stuff but just on like plate tectonics. I'm sure you will get an offer, but it is nerve racking that you're essentially in competition with the other people there. Good Luck!

Yes I thought it was probably so they could fill up that day. Will not be nice to see the people I'm competing against. It will make me feel worse. Argghh, at least when I get an offer it'll be unconditional .

Yeah but you've already got uni experience so you should be fine. Lucky you with your unconditionals, all your stress will be over haha.

Yeah it will be over pretty quick for me. Good that Imperial don't keep you waiting long after the interview either. Quite exciting too! Imperial is probably my firm choice and they might be the first to come back to me as well!

I have an interview with Imperial this Wednesday too, but for Geophysics.
There's also 16 people for the interview so i guess that's the maximum students they can take in for an interview? not sure though.
I know Geology/Geophysics aren't the most popular courses but I'm quite scared :/haha

Yeah, geophysics and geology students are interviewed together. So you are one of the 16 people in my group I think. It's a small number because not many people could make the January interview due to exams.

No it's all of us . Yeah you will see me. We'll be eating lunch together and sitting in talks. There's only 16 of us so will probably have the opportunity to talk to everyone. Hope it goes ok for you too.

It was AAB for the Geology MGeol, haha I don't mind. They are in my sig, but I know they don't always show up. Yeah they are taking their time but I only realised they had an online tracking system yesterday and my application has been passed to 'a' college, hopefully the one I applied for, so fingers crossed .

Ooh right sounds nice Haha I'm sure they'll be something you'll like though. Yeah just a bit LOL. Not too fussed about en suite now I've been to the Lake District and stayed at a youth hostel because it wasn't the worst thing in the world haha. Although a single room is a must, my accommodation fees are going to be ridiculous if I get into Imperial or UCL haha.

Haha yeah well the saving isn't happening oops LOL. Imperial is my first choice then UCL second. I loved Imperial on the departmental open day, but haven't visited UCl yet but they give you a tour on the interview day so I'll have a chance to look round then. Which is your first choice?

    No idea, very indecisive :/
Its between Durham and Leicester but iv got open days coming up and a college open day at Durham (like a grown up sleep over hehe) so hopefully I'll know soon. The problem is that since its Geology, Im just happy to have the opportunity to study it further so iv been a bit too relaxed about where I really want to go. Hope Your visits to yours go well

Yeah not many places do. I went to a very small school with a very limited selection of courses and combinations that could be taken. But oh well.
