Recommended reading list...really? (Politics)

Hi there,

Just wondering how good and useful the books on the rec reading list actually are.
I don't really want to buy a load of books and then never use them, I've picked out a couple that I think would be beneficial because I know I like the authors.

Are there better books that aren't on the list?

What do you think the best thing to do is?

If its anything like the history list - none of it will be useful. Just pick one to get a feel of what the reading will be like. I doubt you will ever use any of that stuff. Its much better to wait until you get to Uni and get the real list. Also, with Politics you won't need to buy any books you will be getting them out of the libarary so don't waste money!
