Re: The Manchester City Society IICarlos Tevez really should take those English lessons soon. A picture of some slippers and a rocking chair with Fergie would have been better.(Original post by Abiraleft)

Level your glory hunting accusations elsewhere, because this thread used to be more active when we were ****.Last edited by Slick Fosbury; 15-05-2012 at 14:06. -

I have a query, did Christien smile when City won? I imagine he sat back in his wingback chair, sipping a fine Scottish whiskey and just rocked back and forth, contemplating the stress of watching his team defend the league. -
Re: The Manchester City Society IIHey Jude if I remember correctly.(Original post by TheProdigy2k9)
Question: When City were lifting the cup what song was playing in the background? -

Yeah, and when Jangra was about the place.

I'm ashamed to say my reaction was quite animalistic. My twitter documents it quite well. One minute it was all 'hope is dead, god is dead, we are all degenerating organic matter so football's pointless anyway' and then BOOM. Gushing about all over the place like a five year old girl with a bruised knee, except...happy. I think. I can't quite identify it.
The stress came, but later.Last edited by Christien; 15-05-2012 at 17:34. -
Re: The Manchester City Society II
Going to delve into the fascinating world of transfers and that. What I would like;
Sell:
Tevez
Kolo Toure
Buy:
Alex Song
Hummels
Pacey inside forward capable of playing up front
Sign those players and we'll retain the league and do well in Europe imo. Gives us better depth and much much improved tactical flexibility. **** Hazard and RVP. -
Re: The Manchester City Society III was going to laugh and mention FM, but this is City, isn't it.(Original post by Slick Fosbury)

Re: The Manchester City Society IISong's an interesting choice, where would you see him playing? A lot of Arsenal fans don't feel he's disciplined enough to play the DM role. & Where would that leave De jong/Barry/Milner? I do agree that you need a CB, probably gonna be a blockbuster one too, who do you think it'll be?(Original post by Slick Fosbury)

Take Hazard but leave RVP

Re: The Manchester City Society IIErr Arsenal tend to make players look defensively terrible, just look at Clichy who has probably been the best left back in the league this season. Song needs to be let loose to impose himself on a game. A player with his stamina, speed and strength shouldn't be sitting off his man and covering. I feel that's what we lacked this season, someone to impose themselves at tough away grounds.(Original post by Lyrically)

Errm well we could play him in a 2 or a 3, in a 3 with Toure and De Jong for big European nights. In a 2 with Barry for tough away games, in a 2 with Toure at home where we boss the game etc. Milner should be playing more tough away games for me and all big games. Really like him out wide with Richards behind him. Makes our right flank very balanced.
Errrm I don't know who for centre back. I just hear Hummels bandied about a lot, and he's good on the ball. -
Re: The Manchester City Society II
I have a question for Manchester City fans.
What's up with Richards? He looked to have come on in leaps and bounds in the early stages of the season, but was then seemingly (from what I saw anyway) dropped in the last 5-10 games where he only came on as a sub. He also wasn't called up for the England squad which I found surprising. Did I miss him getting injured or something?
Can you guys shed any light on it?
