The wiki page of "this is england" has a section on this I think.

You're right! Thanks

Should prolly watch the film first.

Well isn't it about white nationalist skin heads?

Shauns dad?
is that the biggest spoiler ever?

I thought it was Lol's dad? In the "next episode" bit she was saying "my dad's back"
I've seen the film but not heard about the series, what channel is it on?

I find it a bit disturbing, though I can't help but watch it. I don't like how everything is really grubby and also the idea that England used to be like that isn't particularly nice.

Most of Sheffield and Rotherham still look pretty like that, apart from the rich areas. It can't just be South Yorkshire surely?

The only time a black guy should be near a nationalist skinhead is when he's stabbing him. That is it. No long conversations about fathers. Just a moment of silence for the dead white guy.

On a related note, realised the other day on the film's dvd cover, the tower block on the right is in my town, which I can see from my bedroom window.

Leaning tower of Shatfield in a Northern drama,
Wonder where Pukey is?
Brad0712
No :P

I found the programme good  looking forward to rest of it..

Whats with the bearded man though, i thought it was combo at one point haha

I thought it was Christian Bale and was like "NO WAI  "
Thought it was all right but worse than the original film.

Thought it was great. Woodys mod revival style is awesome and i Want to marry Lol or her sister

Tought it was good, my major gripe with it was that i didn't really feel like a follow-up to 'This is England'. It felty much more like a comedy series, which would have been good in its own right, but within context certain parts such as Flip and his gang felt ridiculous (though still very funny).

Was also disappointed to see it wasn't directed by Shane Meadows himself.

Funny, but I don't think it'll beat the film. What do you think is the deal with the bearded man in the car, at the end?

Maybe he is a paedophile.
I was slightly disappointed. Hopefully next week will be better.

Haha it is rather comforting that the ****ness of Quensway House transcends the north-south divide.
