So... much... walking.

So, I walk from north entrance to sports center, which couldn't be further away. Then I walk to geography, which is near north entrance. Then I walk back to sports center. Then I walk back to geography. Then I walk to north entrance. Then I walked to south entrance. Then I walk to north entrance again. Then I walk back to Radford, which is a 40 minute walk, which I already did once that day anyway, and.... *collapses* Someone kick me off to bed please?

Yeah, I've just been wondering around too.
Went to Funked Up @Ocean tonight, and met a mate, we got bored of it, so we left early, hence me being back now.

Its pretty cool, although the emphasis on partying is a tad anoying. I prefer just quiet chats to people one to one basis etc rather than full on clubbing.

Have signed up to a few socs, and some more will be added tommorrow morning.

I just want to get stuck in to the socs n stuff now, rather than all the parties.
Surely there must be others in the same situation?! :p:

Edit: and yes the walking, oh my. i've got blisters on my feet, and i've just walked back from the city centre (about 2 miles), so tommororw morning will be "fun"

I think it is just simply great here! I'm in Lenton hall btw.

I'm having a great time

The people in my block are lovely and loads of us went out to Oceana last night, was soo good! Eugene!

Anyway, i'm going to the Fayre today i think and i'll sign up for stuff then. I still haven't unpacked properly so i kind of need to do that as well. Got a formal followed by a trip to Ocean tonight.

I have a talk soon for English. It's inhumane to make it this early in the morning. I think they're trying to kill off some of the freshers. Shhh.....

Join BladeSoc. You'd really like it. A fun soc to get stuck into, good social life with pub visits every week (no clubbing), no blisters.

Saturday, main car park, 2pm.

See link below.

Oceana was cool but I got lost haha.

YJ must be hiding from the TSR people because no one has met her. I have seen finnstar, iris, mariana and rai so far. Just got internet installed today

Yeah, I feel the same. I hate clubbing - Oceana last night was crap for me.

I I think I saw Rachel yesterday, walking out of the club with a guy!

So far I have felt down quite a lot tbh...people on my floor are nice tho...
Yeah, it was a bit crappy. Got to shake hands with Eugene though :frown:

I'm having a pretty good time so far. I had difficulties with the car getting up here so I've only got one bag of stuff until my mum can bring it up.

Rutland had a great house party on the first night and I was out at Oceana last night. Clubbing isn't really my thing either, though.

The campus is sooooo nice but it's a bit of a trek to get to registration and stuff. I joined sky diving and tennis societies and signed up to some army thing (the stand that was outside the gym).

The food in my hall is absolute ***** so I've just been eating my own stuff mainly. My room's much better than I thought it would be - I wasn't expecting a sink.

I went to my first 'lecture' this morning - got up at 11.00 especially. I turned up 10 minutes late and walked into a darkened room full of Asians so I thought to myself "ello ello, what's going on here?" I sat down anyway and listened to the lecture that was meant to be on American history and wondered why everyone in my row looked about 30. I went up at the end and spoke to the lecturer and found out that I was in some Asian Masters Degree thing. I felt like a right prat, honestly.

Oh, Mousey, there was an English thing today??? I didn't know anything about it at all.

Oh dear, I just looked into it and it seems pretty important. What did I miss?

The Hopper Bus is crazy :frown: It's actually quicker to walk than catch it!

My room is OK, apart from the chewing gum stains on the floor and the fact that my wardrobe stops any light getting to my desk. The kitchen is awful. Everything is broken, and anything that isn't is dirty. They hadn't even hoovered!

And there are too many stairs.
i love my room, im on the same floor as starsfallsilent (helen)

and ive met lots of people who recognise me from the internet lol!

rachel has met mariana so far!!!

so is the meet up still going aheaD?

if anyone wants to meet me just get to willoughby and jump in the lift and go to the 5th floor! (penthouse, oh yes!) and my names on the door! lol

Wild Wild West 2night woohoo!!!!!!

Ollie, you missed registering for English! That was important. Erm, just go and try and find someone to speak to. We got a big folder full of stuff and later we had to sign up for seminars which was crazy.

I saw Rachel today (although i didn't say hi) and i've been chatting to Finn quite a bit. I'm not hiding.

My hall food is actually quite good. I'm looking forward to the formal this evening. I'm so unbelievably tired though. I didn't join any societies today due to the queues at the cash machine, but i'm goingback tomorrow to join, English, Sailing, Debating, Yoga, Soul, and another one i can't remember tight now. I need to get ready for formal now so have a good night guys. If any of you recognise me at Mode come and say hi. xx

I saw Rachel walking out of Oceana last night with a guy! Well, I'm 90% sure it was her!
And the GeogSoc guy said to me "Are you Sian off The Student Room?" lol
Eventful night so far...!
Was going to M@Mode.
Ended up in the QMC, getting them to fish a broken contact lens out of my eye.
Looks like I'll catch a public bus in and see if I can still get in

I've only met exmoorkatie so far, and that was brief, need to meet ya all properly sometime!

The English Induction was great. As one of the few people who didn't go to Oceana last night, I got to do the whole sadistic smug thing at not having a hangover or being ridiculously tired.

Am currently in the library getting my Netware account running. I think the only thing I'm vaguely disappointed in is how much emphasis the week one reps are putting on the whole clubbing side of things.Everything else is great though.
Me too, I'm not a massive fan of clubbing... Prefer movies n stuff

If ya need any help with the comp stuff, let me know, I've been here since tues, and got the hang of most things

I think I have most of it down at present. The Notts portal won't recognise my username, but we assume that may be an admin problem.I don't have much faith in tech supports i general.

May move from the library soon and force myself to socialise in the ark. Not sure what times that closes though...
Yeah, I had probs with the Notts portal too. It takes a few days sometimes, as it did for me :frown:
IT support is pretty good in Notts I found.

Dunno about the Ark, I know our hall bar closed at 10.30. I suspect it might be open till at least 11, possibly 2....
