cos(2x) = 1 - 2sin^2(x)

π/6π/4\int_{\pi/6}^{\pi/4} 1/(1 - cos(2x)) dx
= π/6π/4\int_{\pi/6}^{\pi/4} 1/(2sin^2(x)) dx
= (1/2) π/6π/4\int_{\pi/6}^{\pi/4} cosec^2(x) dx
= (1/2) [ -cot(x) ] (from pi/6 to pi/4)
= (1/2) (sqrt(3) - 1)

You will probably find \int cosec^2(x) dx = -cot(x) + c and similar results in your formula booklet.
