South Stoneham House
Ive finally been allocated my accomodation and ive been placed in south stoneham house, are they are any others who are going there, or know any useful information other than that provided by the accomodation office 
Hey I havent heard of this block but on the susu forums (Southampton student union website - www.susu.org Check it out if ya havent yet.) there is a thread about this block - This is what someone says in it
"stoneham is actually the tower block that you can see when entering wessex lane complex. the rooms are about an average size (bigger than some in monit, but smaller than those in chamerlain), though the furnature is about 20 years old. the kitchens are quite small, but we were catered last year so got food from connaught canteen. the lifts are very prone to breaking down, but unless you are more than half way up its esay to walk down. unfortunally since they were supposed to be closing it about two years ago the bar and JCR has been closed, so we had to use connaught bar or the boiler house if we wanted a drink. another bad thing is that you cannot get the university broadband in there, only the NTL pay as you go service (but connaught does have a computer room). all the rooms have a wash basen in apart from those on the 1st floor, and there are two showers and toilets on each floor. "
