UCAS points!

Right then guys, can SOMEONE please enlighten me on this subject.

With uni offers, if for example a uni asks for ABB which gives you 320 points, does that mean you need to have those exact grades, or can you get in with the right amount of points (or more) from not getting those grades?

For example, I have to my name as we speak, 200 UCAS points. By the end of the year, i will have between the region of 420 and 520 UCAS points, this is from a combination of AS and A levels, does this count?

P.S this is not counting course specific prerequisites, i.e a modern language course requires B in french, can the other points come from anywhere?

Cheers!

they usually specify which qualifications the points can come from
On the UCAS decision letter the University mentions exactly what they want. If the say they want ABB, they want those grades, nothing equivalent to it. If they say they want 320 points and don't mention whether they want you to get certain grades in certain subjects, you can get away with any grades counting up to that number
