    Recommendations for alcoholic drinks
Hi guys I need some recommendations for new alcoholic drinks to try cos I'm sick of quite a few and the one I want I actually can't get in the UK I don't think (Becks Green Lemon).

Used to drink things like Smirnoff Ice, other alcopops and vodka, Malibu, Bailey's etc but I'm pretty sure I've gone off them now from drinking too much of them. Just had a swig of Smirnoff Ice now after not touching it for a year and a half and I hate it.

Hate things like wine, Guinness and whiskey.

Currently into beers and would settle for a nice Weissbier but the nearest Aldi at uni is a bit of a trek. Can anyone recommend any beers that mix well with lemonade? Want to make a "Radler" as I got into those in Germany.

    Appreciate any help!

Most semi-large Sainsburys branches stock at least one Weissbier now (normally Edelweiss or Erdinger) and I think ASDA may do too. Not 100% sure about Morrisons or Tesco, but I've got a feeling Tesco does.

    Re: Recommendations for alcoholic drinks
I've pretty much exhausted my drinking allowance for mixes like rum & coke/vodka & coke etc. The only mix like that that I can bother with now is Red bull and vodka. I also definitely wouldn't say no to a straight single malt Scotch whiskey on the rocks. Or, if you want to do a whole 180, I'm also a huge sucker for pansy-ass cocktails and good quality wines, spirits and liqueurs. Hrm, or good beers, not cheap-supermarket ones, because those taste far better than their ****** counterparts.

Try Peroni? I mean, I wouldn't mix it with anything, but it's a beer you may like? Or cider? Or a Corona - and you NEED the lime with that. To me, it's blasphemous if you don't include the wedge of lime.

Pina colada. I've only ever had imitation (non alcoholic) pina colada, but it's awesome so I presume the alcoholic version is too

Cocktails in general are pretty cool. Try this Apple and Elderflower Collins (my new favourite easy cocktail of choice):

    2 shots Gin
    1 shot elderflower cordial
    1 shot apple juice
    A squeeze of lemon
Top up with sparkling water & plenty of ice, and mix

    Weissbier :coma: :sogood:

I can recommend Bulmers cider too, and when I was in Spain I tried calimocho (not sure how to spell it :p: ) which is red wine mixed with coke which is GREAT. Try that

    Beer, lemonade and grenadine.

Although my preferred drink is any red wine... if you want something sweeter try a sangria.

Thank you Rep coming your way. Will check out some of the Tesco's near me and in Brum and might have to get on the bus to Asda.

I forgot about pina colada, thank you!! Love it and would definitely drink it. Not sure how hard it is to do myself but I'm up for it and I've had it at uni before.

Try Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss. That **** is incredible. kind of sweet but if you've got a sweet tooth it's perfect.

You could try using flavored vodka if your lemonade isn't too lemony, that is pretty nice too.

They're what I do best. Though most of my favourites are a bit too complicated and use obscure ingredients - for instance, my personal favourite is my own chocolate martini recipe, which is 2 shots dark chocolate melted into milk, 1 shot vodka, 1 shot creme de cacao (chocolate liqueur), 1 shot creme de noisette (hazelnut liqueur), shaken, in a martini glass, with dark chocolate grated over the top. Phenomenally good, but a bit of a tough one to get the right ingredients for.
