The strengthshop belt sucks. It's too soft and I can feel it stretch when I press into it. I can't tighten it anymore at the moment. I think I'm going to return it, it just doesn't have anywhere near the same support as a normal leather belt. I kinda had a 'meh' session, might have been due to the new belt throwing me off.

    Squat:

    ...
    120kg x 3, 2
    120kg x 5
    120kg x 3, 2

    Bench:

    ...
    67.5kg x 5
    67.5kg x 5
    67.5kg x 5

    Chin-ups:

    BW + 7kg x 5
    BW + 7kg x 5
    BW + 7kg x 5
    BW + 7kg x 5
    BW + 7kg x 5

    Bodyweight = 87.5kg

I had some funny form issues on the squat, kept falling out of the groove and had to reset mid set. Some of these squats were legit ATG, and were kinda hard. I'm going to repeat 120kg next session to nail it.

    Bench, easy.

Chins, I really have lost some chinning power. I know I've gained weight, but I still have lost strength here.

Strengthshop doesn't have real leather belts, and I've already sold my other one to my friend. I'm going to need to get a refund and get another zulu glove belt.

Gutted, they look exactly the same as the zulu one as well.

I think I may try squatting in my Chuck's next session. I feel like I keep losing the bar forward and that the shoes may be tipping me forward. I'll be annoyed if I squat a lot better in Chuck's. As it is, I can squat hella deep in my Pendlay's. Every time I squat right to parallel, it feels really high.

At least you can tell us whether the new style Zulus are any good!

I just emailed Brian at strengthshop. They've got legendary customer service, so I expect good things.

ASDA do 5 drumsticks for £2. So I got 10 today. I pretty much get 5 for lunch everyday, plus a few other items. But I felt like 10 today. One day per week, I'll gonna do 10 or 15. 10 wasn't hard or anything, just takes a while to get through if you're in a rush.

I'll do 20 when I get up to 180kg deadlift. Or thereabout.

You mean the Defcon Evolution belts? I got one last week, it's amazing. Although I had to pop another set of holes in it to get it tight enough - the fitment is a bit ridiculous. And doing so without a drill was fudging hard. Otherwise it's absolutely perfect, I'm very happy with mine.

    Squats:

    ...
    120kg x 5
    120kg x 5
    120kg x 5

    Bench:

    ...
    70kg x 5
    70kg x 5
    70kg x 5

    Deadlift:

    ...
    140kg x 5
    145kg x 3
    155kg x 2 (missed last rep, tired)

    Bodyweight = 86.5kg

Quick session today. Gym was busy and was training with an old friend so just did mostly what he was doing, hence repeating bench today and skipping OHP. Everything felt decent. The 140kg deadlift was odd, I didn't chalk properly and my grip was playing up. This caused me not to lockout each rep very well as I was almost about to drop it, even with hook grip. My grip is so ****. When I re-chalked and made sure to get the back of my thumbnail, it wasn't a problem anymore.

When I get back up to my old strength levels AND I can't progress linearly. Hell, I may even run Madcow's before I start TM. The world is my oyster, and I will not be restricted by a silly ol' thread title.

    Trained yesterday and today.

    Squat:

    122.5kg x 5
    122.5kg x 5
    122.5kg x 5

    OHP:

    40kg x 5
    40kg x 5
    40kg x 5
    40kg x 5
    40kg x 5

    Chin-ups:

    BW x 5
    BW + 10kg x 1
    BW + 15kg x 2 (to failure)
    BW + 10kg x 4 (to failure)
    BW x 5
    BW x 5
    BW x 5

    Dumbbell Curls:

    12kg x 25?
    12kg x 12?
    12kg x 10
    12kg x 12

    One-arm Dumbbell Press: (each arm)

    16kg x 7
    18kg x 7
    20kg x 5

    Bodyweight = 87kg

Squats were easy as it should be.

OHP was easy as it should be. I don't know why 40kg was bothering last time, must've been a bad day. So I decided to do 5x5.

Kinda funny, and not just because of the pathetic weights.

Walked straight into the gym at 4:30PM, saw there were about 8-9 people waiting to use the squat rack, walked straight back out again and went home.

I really need to get some squat stands now for home now. I'll probably bench and deadlift tomorrow in the day.

    Quickish session.

    Squats:

    125kg x 5
    125kg x 5
    125kg x 5

    OHP:

    42.5kg x 5
    42.5kg x 5
    42.5kg x 5

    Deadlift:

    60kg x 5
    90kg x 5
    110kg x 3
    130kg x 1
    140kg x 1
    150kg x 3
    140kg x 3

    Chin-ups:

    BW x 5
    BW x 5
    BW x 5
    BW x 5
    BW x 5

    Bodyweight = 87kg

Squats were kinda heavy, but there was no doubt at any point. I tried to slow down my descent a bit more too.

    OHP were easy peasy.

Deadlift wasn't great. I was gonna go for 2 or 3 sets of 3 reps at 150kg, but my lower back wasn't feeling it. Horribly rounded so I decided to lower to 140kg. 150kg didn't feel all that heavy, I just couldn't keep my back extended and I can't risk rounding my ****.

I'm trying to eat just under maintenance to try and slowly shed a few digits of body fat. So if I can get back to my old numbers doing this, things will go well. And I'm getting there.

Actually, you just reminded me of that. I stopped because they disabled that blog. It's up now!! I may re-start that.
