Is the pain in the midline or near the midline of the back? i.e. near the vertebrae? I think I've had the same or similar issue before, got it once from squatting, but the first time I got it, I was on a rowing machine. I suspected it to be a "subluxated rib", or dysfunction of the joint where the rib articulates with the vetebra. What worked for me though was having someone stand on my back - try it. Lie on your front on the floor, get someone to put their heel on the area where the pain is, and slowly bare weight onto it. It should click back into place, you'll feel it and it'll feel immediately better. Pain was a lot worse when I was slouching forward.
Yes it is, and thanks for the suggestion bro, I'll try it out.

    Squats:
    60x5
    90x5
    120x3
    140x3

    OHP:
    30x5
    40x5
    47.5x5x2
    47.5x4

    Deadlift:
    70x5

    150x2
    175x3
    175x2f

    Cable Curls:
    50x12x3

Squats were fairly easy, OHP was tough. Missed final rep of deads, probably will stop squatting and deadlifting heavy in the same session.

Yeah, I'm sick to death of my notoriously abysmal pressing. It's always always been way off my other lifts. I'm now pressing twice a week, and increasing the volume. Not benching at all right now.

Not benching won't help your press. I did a whole summer of no benching and press only, and my press made the best progress overall when I was benching too.

****ing knackered. Was trying for 180x3x2, but it wasn't happening. Might just be the heat. Also tweaked my left trap, neck is stiff and painful as ****, can't look right or up without pain.

Neck's 90% better now, these sort of niggles don't tend to last long for me.

    Brief session today.

    Squats:
    70x5
    90x5
    105x5
    120x5
    142.5x3
    105x8

    OHP:
    30x5
    35x3
    40x2
    45x1
    50x5x2
    50x4f

Got some Strength Shop Thor knee sleeves. They're ****ing awesome. Squats felt great.

Missed last rep of 3rd set of 50 for OHP, but things are still coming along nicely. I'll repeat that Monday.

Another short session, was actually split into two, because of limited time. This sort of training may become more frequent now that I'm properly back into clinical teaching at med school.

    Squat:
    70x5
    90x5
    105x5
    120x5
    142.5x5

    OHP:
    30x5
    40x5
    45x2
    50x5x3

All very easy, which is a relief.

    From Wednesday...

    Squats:
    70x5

    Bench:
    50x5
    60x5
    70x2
    75x5x3

    Deadlift:
    60x5
    100x5
    130x3
    160x1
    175x3
    180x2x2

    Cable Curls:
    50x12x3

Getting annoyed with deads, not wanting to move. May need to restart rack pulls, this is ridiculous.

**** me, the old antique gym scales said I was 90kg. It's consistently said I've been 85 for ages now. I have been eating a lot lately, but I reckon that thing is just messed up. Need to weigh myself properly.

Yep, it's official. I've put on 5kg in a month and weigh 90kg. I think most of it's lean and water, I don't look fatter at all. Legs, arms and shoulders have popped up a lot.

Rack pulls have decimated my hips, traps and lower back. They went balls deep.

My traps still feel a bit sodomised from cleans.
