I worked for RBS group. It was hell but the pay wasn't too bad.

I didn't work for customer services thank god so there was no sales element, but I worked within a specialised department that basically dealt with complaints and angry customers. There were targets to reach for things like average call length but everything is such a mess there now with poor management, restructuring, redesigning processes and not enough staff that those stats were basically ignored. As long as you were working flat out to the point of mental breakdown they were happy and you were on target lol.
