Fairly high internet use and i would like the option for gaming but i mainly use my ps3 for that....
Also one that would last well for 3 years, technically and reliably

PERFECT example of why some people just shouldn't build PCs.
I can vouch for this processor being fantastic by the way.

I know, I can't even imagine what I'd do if that happened to me.

Why don't you say, never buy from the typical consumer market

High internet use doesn't affect the laptop in all honesty that much apart from a good wireless system and being able handle loads of tabs in a browser.
For gaming, you'll need more because these days all the laptops tend to come with a built in graphics card.

Novatech nSpire 2450 - Black Edition - 15.6" Intel i5 2450M Mobile Processor - 4GB DDR3 Memory - 500GB SATA Hard Drive - DVD Writer - NVIDIA GT 555 Mobile

It's £570 without an operating software, the next level up is £680 with a better processor, more ram and a faster hard drive.

Yeah that.
Looking to build my first build, so my build plan might look a bit retarded. Please tell me!

Coolermaster HAF 922 case

Asus p8z68-v lx motherboard

OCZ MXSP 700W PSU

Sandy beach 2500k GPU

HD 6850 CPU

Corsair DDR3 8GB Ram

One thing was I'm not sure what kind of processor cooler to get? Does anyone know what kind of cooler I need?
Also should I get some case fans?

I'll be using this mostly for games plus a few programmes when I go to uni.
I was going to get Seagate Baraccuda 1TB but do I really need a TB?

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps!

Sandy bridge.

Go for the Gelid Tranquillo cooler. Very good, very quiet and only about £25ish.

1TB is fine, but it's very similarly priced to 2TB. You can get 2TB drives for £70.

I'd also get an SSD for your operating system and programs, and keep the HDD for storage of files. You can get 128GB SSDs for £80, or 256GB SSDs for £155.

Definitely worth getting an SSD - they are absolutely brilliant.

Lol @ sandy beach. Seems decent enough, the PSU is pretty overkill, I'd much rather go for a 550 or 600w from corsair or coolermaster. The rest seems fine. Processor coolers and case fans are fairly optional things (obviously you need a cooler, I mean after-market ones are optional ) so you could just wait to see if you really need them. If you really need a aftermarket cooler look at this:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coolermaster-hyper-212-evo-4-heat-pipes-direct-contact-with-120mm-quiet-fan-lga775-1155-1156-1366-am?utm_source=google+shopping&utm_medium=google+shopping

And well 1tb is about £10 more than a 500gb so you might as well really.

Considered an SSD?

Thanks a lot for your advice. So what is the advantage for using SSD to boot as opposed to HDD?

Yeah, much much faster. Programs open within a second. Everything just feels instantaneous. Bootup times are reduced dramatically. Easily under 30 seconds, with some tweaking around 20 seconds.

Yeah, good shout on the PSU, that one is overkill. I have an overclocked 2500K and overclocked 6850 all on a Corsair builder series (the low end corsairs) CX430 watt. Those are about £36. However, I would recommend a slightly better one for headroom and efficiency. Something Corsair between 500-600 watts will be very good.

Why, oh why, would you buy a 3930k if you know nothing about computers? Good example of some epic fail going on

Have a look at these for a coolmaster case and a 650 watt psu for under a £100
http://www.ebuyer.com/270605-cm-storm-enforcer-case-with-coolermaster-650w-gx-psu-sgc-1000-kwa-650w
or http://www.ebuyer.com/220862-coolermaster-cm690-ii-lite-with-coolermaster-gx-650w-psu-special-offer-bundle-rc-692-kka3

And you thought about paying a bit more for a 6870? Cos sometimes they come on sale for around £120.

Hmmm that enforcer does look temping... I have just ordered my case though and a 600W Corsair.

Would you say 6870 offers a big advantage over the 6850?

You could always cancel it. I have the enforcer with that PSU (not up and running as not getting parts yet) and it feels really sturdy and looks spacious and easy to fit things inside.

Just cancel it, cos the ebuyer one will save you money, I bought the 690 II version a month ago.

Well if the 6870 can be found under 120, then you might.
