How to get a work shadowing placement with a Psychologist?

It seems they don't respond to their emails and calling from the UK would be too expensive for me. I am a first year psychology student in the UK. Can anyone put me in touch with any kind of psychologist (clinical, educational, forensic) to shadow in the UAE or preferably the UK but they seem to have problems with "confidentiality".:mad: thats why I considered the UAE.

Aye, and it does happen at UG (I would think somewhat rare?). Can only speak of my own anecdotal experiences, of course.

It was enlightening/informative (on both occasions), and helped me decide that I'd rather chew my right arm off than go the clinical route (even with the sweetener of research).
