i made sin θ = cos θ/tan θ and tried to work it out using this method.

Use that cosecθ=1sinθcosec\theta=\frac{1}{sin\theta}
take common denominator and use the at he numerator
the identities of 1−sin2θ=cos2θ1-sin^2\theta=cos^2\theta
after that cosθsinθ=cotθ\frac{cos\theta}{sin\theta}=cot{\theta}
