yeah lol, also you get to teach your creature lessons, and build their muscles etc.
Ore is hard to find, but if you play good, then by the time you are running low then you should have a few towns joined you bringing more ore, good or evil.

yea, the teaching lessons part is too easy though, it shouldn't learn a behaviour simply by how many times you slap/reward it in one go.... it doesn't completely follow the principles of behaviourist psychology

Just a general question, on the 4th island (the one where you face the Japs for the first time), how do i extend my influence for the main town to include the ore mine near the top of the mountain? I cant be bothered wasting villagers (who are all breeding atm) to collect this ore, but it's the only source left.

yeh i dont mean it like that, what i mean is that in B+W2 you can more or less turn his attitudes on or off, dont like how hes crapping on houses after you told him it was a good thing, just go to the list of things he knows and slap him about a bit, in B+W1 you tell him to do something then change it, he'll still do it, just more cautiously, or less often, like a puppy that needs house training it takes a while to get it into his head, B+W2 is just ding you wont do that again, or ding you know fireball, not cast fireball, creature learns 5%. time consuming but it added to the charm.

Edit: Still a good game dont take anything away from it... just not the same feel

That sums it up. It's lost something, maybe just because it's not a new idea anymore.

Build houses or something to extend your influence ring to the ore mine. Yeah maybe that would make the game a bit better with the learning of the creature, but opther things are missing too, like skirmish, multiplayer and stuff like that to keep you playing.
