Children of Men? Bit of a push; I watched the movie and I know it's based on a book. It's by PD James I think.

I know it's a weird request...thanks for the input. (The reason is too boring and would take too long to explain.)

I'd rep you if I hadn't been redded by twits
The Human Stain
Of Human Bondage
The Man in the Iron Mask
A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
The Old Man and the Sea
Our Man in Havana
The Invisible Man
Of Mice and Men was the only one I could think of xD

It strikes me that going to Amazon and searching for 'man' or 'human' would be a lot faster.

The Invisible Man springs to mind, though.
Of Mice and Men
Human Punk
The man in the high castle - Philip K. Dick.

Although it would be incredibly easy to simply search the books section on amazon;
