Practice 2 :0600-0730

Qualifying: 0600
Sun 10 Oct:
Race: 0700
Weather: Outlook is for sun, more details closer to the weekend.
All sessions are on BBC red button, quali and the race on BBC1, 5Live commentary available online and on the red button with Croft and probably Davidson (doesn't seem to be racing).
Those times for each session are for the UK so dedication is needed to view any of the practice sessions. I shall be up for quali and the race though.
Still no definite conclusion on whether the Korean GP will go ahead or not so this could be the 3rd to last or 4th to last race.
Porsche could make a return to F1 supplying engines in 2013.
I'm hoping this track could be a good Ferrari circuit with the right balance between downforce and speed. Though the long back straight after spoon curve will suit the McLarens and those with f-ducts. Usually produces a good race, I'm looking forward to it. -
Re: The Japanese GP 2010
I love love love Suzuka! Im very excited for the race, but incredibly nervous at the same time - hoping things will be different this weekend. And Im not getting internet until sometime during the day on Friday, grrrrr - otherwise I would most definitely be watching FP - weird as it may be, I rather enjoy the really early starts for F1

I'll probably be absent from here again most of the weekend, but I'll get on if I can - will finally have proper internet as of this weekend so for the last few races I will be much more active.
Bring on the racing! -
Re: The Japanese GP 2010
Love Suzuka, my favourite track in Gran Turismo, and that is all that matters!
Can't wait for either RBR or McLAREN to wipe that smug look of Alonso's face atm. Ooo yeh.
Come on Button...or Hamilton...or Webber...or Vettel! Just don't take each other out, again! Stick it to that Spaniard! -
Re: The Japanese GP 2010
I want Webber to take the title personally. He's had to put up with so much ******** throughout his career (breaking his leg, his teammate getting preferential treatment, uncompetitive cars) and yet he's just got on with it. If anyone deserves a world championship through sheer resilience, hard work and determination, it's definitely Webber. True Aussie grit.

Re: The Japanese GP 2010
Right Fernando, you know what you have to do.
Can't see the fizzy drink team winning the title. The team need a big result if they want to take the momentum into the final few races where on paper the tracks should suit their car. Vettel looks like he's lost it. Webber seems like a close but no Cigar type of guy and I can see him falling at the final hurdle.
Hamilton still has a shot of winning the title as long as he doesn't fall into his new habit of causing silly accidents as he is far better than that. His team-mate however, has no chance in my view.
Could see Schumacher doing reasonably well this weekend too, always a favourite track of his. Would be nice to see a good result for a change for him and Mercedes. -
Re: The Japanese GP 2010
This is the perfect finish for this weekend:
1. Button
2. Vettel
3. Hamilton
DNF - Webber
DNF - Alonso
Oh god please. But, realistically, this is Red Bull stomping ground. If either doesn't win something's wrong. Vettel could definitely take this.
But I hope Hamilton will vanquish all! -
Re: The Japanese GP 2010
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
Serious lack of internet combined with freshers/hospitalisation/massive amount of work being a shock to the system I've been rather quiet. But I'm back. With a renewed McLaren optimism. For no reason whatsoever apart from the fact Lewis ain't going down without a fight. No sirree.
I'm looking forward to Suzuka. One of my faves. I want rainnnnnnnnn.
Shame the pubs don't open so early here..laptop it is to annoy the neighbours.

Re: The Japanese GP 2010Hopefully no rain on Friday though, McLaren need to test their upgrade! It's forecast to rain the whole weekend though. But, as you say, it'll be an absolute treat for Saturday and Sunday. Go, Lewis.(Original post by MessyEater)

Re: The Japanese GP 2010
Gonna be up 5am sat and 6am sunday so i can come on bbc website and watch all the coverage and the races live...
I'll be sat with some fuds and my wireless gaming headset in bed enjoying the GP.
Prediction is
Vettel
Alonso
Webber
Hamilton
Button
What i want
Button
Vettel
Hamilton
DNF
Alonso
Webber
That's make it
M Webber 202
F Alonso 191
L Hamilton 197
S Vettel 199
J Button 202
Than imagine the last 3 races with 5 people all that close...
