Lewis Hamilton has a 5 place grid penalty for changing his gearbox.

    :awesome:
The final nail in the coffin of his championship hopes?

    You never know....

Raikkonen did win from like 17th a few years ago here.

So lewis could easily win from like 8th/9th(3rd/4th + 5places) or wherever he ends up....

The thing is today, im sure i remember they where saying that the rian might not stop till 11am local time, so there might not be qually tonight. If worst comes to worst they will have to line up in car number order apparently.

    Woke up for nothing :sigh:
That Lee McKenzie girl just had "it's pounding down out there" on repeat for 2 hours  I value Jake much more now!

Heard about Hamilton's news, first the crash and now this. He's just a pro in getting worse and worse as a championship heats up at the end of the season. Happened in 2007, his last performances in 2008 weren't particularly strong either, and now again this year.

I'm excited to see qualifying and the race in one day (missed it in 2004), it's going to be a late night I don't think I'll sleep till noon! :woo:

If they miss qualifying tomorrow the only logical thing to do is use FP2 times to determine the order, it's the closest (and only) thing they have that gives a rough indication of the cars performance. Ordering by car number just doesn't make sense.

That would work well!! Or current championship order.

It really would, I was just having a look at the FP2 order and it's pretty much the usual sort of qualifying order (except Hamilton's position, which makes this proposal all the more appealing :p:).

Championship order would work well too :yep: Alonso taking Webber at the first corner :sogood:

Like most of you I've messed up my sleeping for nothing. Gutted they couldn't have quali today. You could see how nervous Lee was, and how well Eddie was behaving for her. She did a pretty good job considering it was her first time presenting the show.

I've decided that for the last 3 (or 2, if Korea doesn't go ahead) races I'm going to start the race weekend with no hopes or expectations, so then I'll be pleasantly surprised if things actually go right for Lewis/McLaren. :sigh:

Given up on Lewis, now it's up to Marky Mark to stop Alonso from making this a truly awful season

Same. I think everytime I see him trying to overtake someone I end up cringing now, just as with Vettel.

Just seen the duck swimming down the pit lane in FP3 in a clip from FP3, it looks so at home!

But that's not fair because some people ran lower fuel loads and the option tyres and some were on the other tyres/fuel loads etc.

And the rules say if qualifying can't happen then it's got to be number order.

And i'm a mclaren fan so having button/Hamilton on the front row would be good, although hamilton would be knocked down to 7th but nvm...

If it went to numerical order we could take small comfort from the fact that despite Lewis being demoted to 7th, Alonso would still be starting 8th :p:

I know what you mean, though I'm not a Lewis/McLaren fan I hated his last two results I wanted an Alonso vs Lewis showdown in the finals :woo:

Whenever Vettel or Lewis are lighting up the track chasing down the car in front I actually get nervous thinking it's just going to result in them crashing into it.
But still, they're bloody awesome to watch they have the cars dancing around the place especially Vettel - his collision with Button at Spa was so dramatic looking.

Will be behind Massa then no? Alonso can beat them both and fight past everyone else to lead with Webber!

Oh yeah, Alonso would be 9th. And stuck behind Massa so would have to get past, but then that's not too difficult
