sorry its probs a stupid question.for my coursework my hypothesis is ' Gender will affect risk taking behaviour'.what will my null hypothesis be. will it simply be 'gender will not affect risk taking behavoiur'

is that your whole hypothesis/null hypothesis btw?
An alternative to your null hypothesis could be - there is no difference in gender affecting risk taking behaviour.
