I think the OP is simply choosing uni's close together. Don't do this, these uni's are all totally different with only one good one in that list. Choose your uni based on your grades - not on how close they are to you.

OP, do you mean Nottingham Trent uni or the 'proper' one?
Also, I didnt know Derby has a politics department :s-smilie:

? If you're picking these based on your grades then what about Aberyswyth? Its got a very good politics department and has low entry grades. The fact that you've picked nottingham suggests that you are going to get good grades, so If i was you Id expand my search away a bit further because dont forget you are spending around 15grand to go through uni, so why not make it the best possible uni that you can get into?

Why would you apply to Nottingham, i assume for politics, and then those others. Nottingham requires AAB-AAA for its Politics subjects, whereas the others would be around BBC-BCC.

Surely you mean Trent?
