They've altered their interviewing format this year and are doing MMI with groups of hopefuls en masse. I think if you read back through the thread, they have already released two dates for these MMIs.
I suspect they will issue invitations for the first (January) round of MMIs some time very soon.
No need to worry yet.

Re: 2011 medicine Lancasteryeah theres a possibility they have got delayed and it will go out after christmas but they did specify that the first would be before if you read earlier in this thread. the uni will shut for christmas so that would suggest next week is their last chance before christmas to do it....i hope so

Re: 2011 medicine Lancasterdon't worry too much, at the end of the day you will have to overcome your shyness to be a good doctor by talking to patients and nurses every day, so its best to overcome it now!! be as outgoing as you can and remember how lucky you are to have an interview(Original post by sarah1991)
interview 19th jan got an e-mail yesterday. i'm dreading it i'm really shy and it's MMI so will need to impress 12 different people
do you mind me asking what your academics are please, gcse as level etc? -

GCSE'S 2a* 4a 1b (i could only take 7 because of my school and i was the highest achiving student there. the teachers were not even qualified to teach this was mentioned in my reference which they probably considered)
A-Level: 2a* 2a and A in extended project -

Re: 2011 medicine Lancasterok on lancasters website i found a page a while ago which explained the interview and admissions process and said that interviews start on wed 19th of jan and run every wed afternoon til the last wed of feb...but now i cant find this page again. if anyone knows how to get to it could you please post a link?

Yes, you are right about this, no need to find that page.
I emailed the uni today, felt a bit down that I hadn't heard anything, and a very nice email explained that the next interviews will be sent out in batches before each one so that gives them more flexibility........so they may be short notice ones!!
and yes, their will be one every Weds in Feb, thats 3 left.

Re: 2011 medicine LancasterI have had a 1 week work experience in the John Radcliffe hospital (shadowing doctors), I went on a weeks residential volunteering placement at vitalise where i looked after people with physical and mental disabilities, i have had a one week work experience in the horton general hospital (shadowing doctors), I also went on a round the world trip to Nepal where i volunteered in hospitals for two weeks, and I have been helping out at my local age concern branch with people who have alzheimers a couple of hours a week for about 3 months(Original post by sy091392)
