What exactly do tuition fees cover??

What does the £3,290 cover because as a first year student who jus strated uni..I have realised that I will have to buy textbooks that cost around £20 each or more...I have to pay to use the printer/photocopy machine, I can't think of anything that I don't have to either pay for or provide for myself and also the need to have to take out a seperate loan to cover accomodation they don't even provide a free lunch/meal!:confused: Lol but seriously though what do these fees cover..?

Umm..They cover the cost of the teachers teaching you and you utilizing the university campus,maybe free internet,library etc.

Basically only teaching costs.!

See my tuition fees are for lecturers giving the lectures and the epic internet speeds in halls and at uni.

Now the problem I have in my first year we have had to fork out another 1k atleast to go on the field courses which are Compulsory. Let alone my textbooks which are atleast £50 a time....
