I don't have Third Man. I want to watch Maltese Falcon but I guess will have to make the time. Its a great movie I heard.

I have watched the rest, all three my fav Some Like It Hot being too funny.
But my most fav comedy definitely is Dr Strangelove.

Oh you have to get it. When I first saw it was late at night with my mum who had seen it ages ago. And I was so fascinated by how captivating the movie was. I remember watching and thinking how great it was, and then it got even better.

It's probably been mentioned already, but how on earth is Django Unchained in the top 250 films... I really didn't rate it that highly. It was alright, but by no means is it one of the best films of all time. And how are none of the James Bond films in there? Surely they're absolute classics? Not even Casino Royale, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies made it? Madness!

was with you til you mentioned goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies. clearly imdb votes are skewed heavily by teenagers that vote for the film they watched last week in the IMAX. the likes of inception, django, dark nightsx2, fight club ? dumb really when you think of all the truly great movies that have been made even in the last 30 years

Over the past month, potentially inspired by this thread but also by coincidence, I've watched so many classics for the first time! Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Bridget Jones' Diary, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction ahhhh yehhhh
The Dark Knight Rises sitting above Aliens and Taxi Driver, what a great time to live in. If you're dead.

Yea that is a joke.
128/250
I've only seen 53, but hell is that one flawed list. No Hot Fuzz, Kick Ass or any Mad Max? I'm trying to be objective when I say that those films are much more advanced than some listed.

No Kick Ass but Hot Fuzz and Mad Max yes.

I am so disappointed with myself right now :frown:

EDIT: oh. it's 55

56!! So many films I keep saying I'm going to watch and I haven't! Could have been up in the 80s if I stuck by my word:P
I've seen 28 ahahahahaahah. I should be ashamed of myself, I mainly watch comedies which are rarely ever ranked high tbh.
Haven't been on this in a while, still winning though

watched in the name of the father recently and anatomy of a murder. In the name of the father is one of the best films ive ever seen i don't know if its still on the list or not, but people on here should watch it

You're so close to 250, why don't you just do it?

Wow, if you're that close, I guess you plan on watching the other 23 at some point, too?

Yep, slowly working through the last ones. Just hard getting hold of some of them unless I pay to rent or buy them.

Hopefully should have seen them all within 6 months.
