I'll give these ratings out of 10 for difficulty:

Highers
English- 10/10
Maths- 2.5/10
Chemistry- 3/10
Physics- 2/10
Biology- 1.5/10
French- 0.5/10

Advanced Highers (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
French- 9/10
Chemistry- 4/10
Physics- 3.5/10
Maths- 3/10

Maths and Sciences are rather easy, you just need to have the knowledge. English was absurdly difficult and I found it took a required of skill to be able to construct two, flowing essays in a short period of time.

French went from being stupidly easy at Higher (didn't go to classes all year, a few weeks of self-teaching and I got 98%) to ridiculously difficult at Advanced Higher, and most of the class is failing all their assignments :s-smilie:

All of your university courses have 'Design' in, and you're a Socialist... get the **** out of here.
bio hardest
maths easiest
I don't think anyone who did it would disagree that further maths is cognitively the hardest A-level.

Except if you're catastrophically terrible at languages, in which case languages might be harder.
Of the AS Levels I did:

English Lit (Hardest)
French
History
Maths (Easiest)

To be honest it all depends on what you're good at. If you're good at maths then it's not hard .
Latin (if they still do that)
Chem
Further Maths
Physics
Bio
