I like training because it keeps me fit and stuff.
Arguing is boring! Post more cute videos!
Not perfect, but adorabibble! -
Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!i admire your willingness to participate, but honestly its not worth it. i only posted that for Shawshank since he is the guy who knows all about results and optimum performance. thanks anyway, i'm sure your pretty good in the pool though(Original post by Becca)
How many lengths in what time? What stroke? What length pool?
I realise I am being a hypocrite by saying "arguing is boring" and then getting involved but I couldn't help it.

Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!Edit: Saw you were talking to Shawshank.(Original post by Peace0fM1nd)
and anyway, bigman. how many lengths can you do? what are you pressing? let the action talk, words don't mean anything its all about results and i will stick to what works! 60/40
If you want to discuss swimming, then make a thread dedicated to that subject, this is the lifting thread. I'm sure a swimming thread would actually be pretty popular if there isn't one already.Last edited by Sorani; 27-10-2010 at 14:56. -
Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!Don't know and don't know, but that's completely besides the point. I'm not acting big, just you're posting ridiculous things here when maybe you should just keep yourself to yourself. This isn't about who can swim the most lengths or lift the most, this is about you being a douchebag.(Original post by Peace0fM1nd)

Hopefully Chocoholic can delete all this nonsense at some point. -

Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!I always think that when there's a thread that's mostly for girls, some guys just really really feel the need to swoop in and give advice like we don't really understand what we're doing. I've had some guys talk to me in a such a patronising little girl way about it. -
Re: Girls Who Lift: Society! It's really annoying yeah. makes me more determined to get awesome at lifting. I don't mind advice when I want some but its unwanted most of the time.(Original post by Sorani)

*lifts huge amount of weight* "Was there something you wanted to say to me?"
"....no." -
Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!Urgh I got some unwanted advice on the pullup machine the other day. He started off his little speech by putting the weight down to 50kg, saying "this will be easier". I weigh a LOT more than 50kg(Original post by sauce)

I did see a funny thing today though, sometimes this bodybuilder dude (I think he was 2nd in the Norwegian nationals recently) trains at my gym and SO MANY people ask his advice on using the equipment and on exercises. He hardly gets anything done cos people are always harassing him! -

Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!Yeah, I hear the easier thing a lot. I might hurt my ovaries lifting too much weight or something, curse my lady genes.(Original post by Becca)

Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!(Original post by sauce)
The only exercise we should be doing is whisking mix for cakes, lap dances for our men's pleasure and the like

Spoiler:Showi do love baking cakes though
Spoiler:Show
I love baking too
Although to lap dance and bake at the same time - that is quite the skill. -
Re: Girls Who Lift: Society!

Re: Girls Who Lift: Society! You know there's this stuff all over the internet called porn? It's shocking I know, but some of that stuff actually has women nude and having sex. It'll blow your mind.(Original post by Bishamon)

Re: Girls Who Lift: Society! To be fair I think that never stops happening - man or woman. If someone is bigger than you then they automatically assume they know more and better than you.(Original post by Sorani)
