As I've already said, the people who are saying "they look awful", "they're out of date" or whatever, obviously do not have a clue. People look stupid wearing them do they? Well quite a few people wear them; they'll most probably be the norm soon.
If you don't show any interest in fashion or style at all, then it's probably best to just stick to what you wear and get on with it. Some people, however, pay attention to the latest gear (like people pay attention to music, films etc) and therefore they're in the know in terms of what's hot and what isn't. Some people don't like them, and some people do. Chances are, the people who do, are the ones with their finger on the pulse.
