So 200 pages later...has anyone actually made any money? -
Re: Money for uni by matched betting
This week, I've made a measly £34 owing to the fact that there was a lack of offers in the weekend, hopefully Euro2012 will bring with it a number of good offers to make some money from. However, it's clear that bookies are not going to be very generous going by the offers that are already on offer. The only easy offer being Betdaq mobile offer. I'm hoping for a spectacular offer from Betvictor for the derby on Saturday.

Re: Money for uni by matched bettingI'm pretty certain it's SR (but it's been a while since placing a bet with them so I've might've got that wrong). Looking for higher odds because I really don't want to risk winning with them at the moment - I might have to withdraw my float from betfair at the end of June to cover rent/bills. Even with lowering my searches to 7 I really haven't been able to find much! The minimum odds are 1.7(Original post by united2000)
Why do you needs odds for 10 or over? is it SNR? If it is id lower your searches to around 6/7 thats still unlikely to happen.
Are you using oddsmonkey premium for your searches?
Cant really do anything about the float except put more money in when you have it. What are the minimum odds?

Re: Money for uni by matched bettingIt is Stake Returned. You really shouldn't be using high odds because sods law the unlikely will happen and you'll be stuck with most of your float in the bookmaker.(Original post by Lintu93)

Use as low odds as you can, then your float will be able to handle it and just go through the requirements rather than trying to bust-out. -
Re: Money for uni by matched bettingIt's normally pretty clear in the T & C's. There is a list at www.thegoldtiger.com and it states the details of each offer.(Original post by conflict)
Okay started doing it without FTO and doing alright so far.
Just one question though how do you work out if the free bet is SR or SNR, doesn't seem to say on any of the bookies ? -
Re: Money for uni by matched bettingI didnt get anything, but apparently its on the home page now upto €200 bonus for a €400 deposit.(Original post by chiliman14)
Anyone received the Bet-at-home reload? Mines 50% up to £150 but unsure whether to take it up considering they seem to be in some trouble
Was tempted but some vandalism to my car has taken up all my money for the near future so might give it a miss. -
Re: Money for uni by matched bettingYes. You'll have all the euros games to work with so plenty of games.(Original post by don_lad_)
hey. I'm going on holiday on the 1st of July. i've got like 150 quid in the bank but could seriously do with at least doubling that. is that realistic in this timeframe?
Before you dive in, make sure you understand the concept and know how to do each type of offer. -
Re: Money for uni by matched betting
Some bad news on the WH front. Seems like their risk free casino and vegas offers have stopped. They were the only offers i have done for weeks.
I hope its just because Euro 2012 is on. On the Euro 2012 front, shocked with the terrible offers about, but as its not started yet, hope for some to pop up.
If anyone is going to do Bet-At-Home i wouldn't, on MSE seems like they are on the brink of going under. -
Re: Money for uni by matched bettingyeah that's what i thought.(Original post by gary901)

Ok thanks mate. not gonna lie i do still find it kind of confusing having read slowly through various explanatory websites etc. the maths is fine and i understand the theory but i know i'll make stupid mistakes.
this website was probably the most helpful, it's a full-on idiot's guide (it is a bit patronising at first in that it basically assumes you've never been to a bookie's before but i found it useful when it got on to worked examples of matched bets etc)

Re: Money for uni by matched bettingAgreed - I don't tend to matched bet much at the moment but I'm always checking WH, must have made about £200+ in 3-4 months out of the offers (although I haven't hit lucky on roulette for a several weeks now!).(Original post by united2000)

I reckon they will be up as normal this Friday, someone on MSE mentioned how the current offers are likely to pay out rather large sums to the mug punters so they wouldn't be able to run the normal offers along side it. -
Re: Money for uni by matched bettingI've started my matched betting 'career' with a free bet from bet365 on Spain v Italy for £50, because I was already a member there. I actually haven't done any free bets that you get when you sign up to a bookies yet.(Original post by eugenius 8)
hmm am quite tempted to get back into this for the euros, been getting a few offers for bonuses with sites i signed up to last year
Just a question to anyone that does it regularly, once the free bets you get from the sign-up offers dry up, how regularly do you get free bet offers from sites that you have already joined, and how much can you make realistically, say weekly from the recurring offers? -

- sky bet loyalty £5 free bet if you be £10 everyday for 5 days
- Arbing and sharbing laying at lower odds than backing to make a profit either way, sharbing is doing it in shops
- referral bonuses, when your friends see how much your making they'll want to have a go, you can both get bonuses
