Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic Volunteers
I applied for this!
Apparently for Event Services?
I'm actually on a scheme where BP pay for all your expenses (hotel, travel etc) during the Olympics themselves, provided you do some volunteering in your local community first. Which is pretty awesome. I probably wouldn't have applied otherwise though - it's a massive financial outlay just to do some volunteering. -
Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic VolunteersI have an interview as well but for the Accreditation team ! The first 45 minutes is spent to register us, take our photo, and check our identification. The interview is only 30 minutes.(Original post by legend_90)
Hey I have an interview to be a games maker for the cycling team ..its on thursday
Anyone know what they're likely to ask? Its an hour and a half!!
"We want to hear about you, your story and why you want to become a Games Maker. We'll also talk to you about your relevant skills and experience."
Since on our application we didn't give them much information about ourselves, I guess we just tell them about ourselves. -
Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic Volunteershey,(Original post by daisyfaye)
meeee I have! I've applied to work in the press area
because I'm interested in journalism as a career and I will (hopefully) be reading English at uni at that time.
Good luck to everyone!
did you get an interview? and if so, is it letting you select a time? -
Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic VolunteersIt's better than nothing isn't it?(Original post by Victor-PP)
They said I'm being considered for the Transport team. WTF? That was my last choice! -
Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic Volunteers
I applied and have an interview for an event services role

Does anyone know what this is? It's so vague!
I actually applied for medical roles in pharmacy. Could I still have a chance at this or would it have specified the pharmacy role or said a sport, medical and antidoping!?
I'm feeling a bit gutted
Did anyone else apply for Pharmacy? -
Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic VolunteersI'm yet to hear from them!(Original post by lenny_343)
hey,
did you get an interview? and if so, is it letting you select a time?
I got an e-mail about two months ago basically saying 'we haven't forgotten you, selections are running throughout 2011' so I'm not too worried...would be nice to hear though!
Did you also apply for Media? -
