Re: Games Maker 2012 Olympic Volunteers
Has anyone got a reply yet? I just got an email today saying I am being considered for the SPECTATOR ENTRY TEAM MEMBER role.. They explained what the role would be..

"If succesful, this means that you’ll be performing a vital role, ensuring that spectators have a fantastic experience. You’ll be working at one of our prestigious Games venues in a high-profile and busy position. Your responsibilities could include welcoming thousands of excited spectators to the venue and ensuring smooth entry into the venue."

I'd be extremely happy if I get this role because I'll be amongst the hype and crazy atmosphere of the Games! I really wanted to get a role where I would be around loads of people and this seems perfect!

But does anyone know what kinda questions they asked? I went for the London Ambassadors interviews too back in June and I didn't get the job. I dont want that to happen again so helppp!!

    what was that like/for?
Most of the questions were typically generic: "Can you give examples of when you've worked well as a team" "Tell me what you know about the Olympics and what your favourite events are" "Can you give examples of when you've worked really hard to achieve something?" "Why do you want to volunteer?" and one or two more I forget.

There was just one role specific one, and it wasn't until this point I even knew what role I was being interviewed for...

I applied! I think it's a bit meh that they expected us to be free in 2012 (I don't even know what I'm doing tomorrow, let alone 2012) so I thought, I'll apply anyway and if I cant go then I'll just disappear and they'll never know who I am

I did want to do it though... just in case the world ends in 2012:ninja:
Didn't you gave them your details?

Hello. I have been given my game maker role, its being a dental nurse in the olympic village. Just wondered how did you find out about the scheme that BP are doing regarding paying for expenses as thats my big hurdle atm with orgainising. So any help or info would be fab.
    Thanks x

I applied for this! Apparently for Event Services?

I'm actually on a scheme where BP pay for all your expenses (hotel, travel etc) during the Olympics themselves, provided you do some volunteering in your local community first. Which is pretty awesome. I probably wouldn't have applied otherwise though - it's a massive financial outlay just to do some volunteering.

It's a specific scheme to help 100 disadvantaged young people and started in 2010, I'm afraid - you're going to have to fund stuff yourself

Has anyone had an interview for a 'spectator entry team member'? What kind of questions will get asked? I've got mine on the 17th December!
