The blue uniforms are the officials for the sports - line judges, etc.

are there only four? gold, silver, bronze and multi coloured. cause after we received four we moved onto the journal (bit late when we only have 3 shifts left)
Four?! I've only been given one so far. The one that makes you look like a McDonalds employee.

So should I be expecting three more? I got the journal a few days ago.

Everyone has pins though, there are a lot more around. For example, Acer have a pin, UPS have a pin, Samsung have pins. You just have to try and find them. Everyone wants to trade and I barely have any FFS! JUST GIMMIE THE PINS.

You all have to tell me where you are so I can come and steal some of yours. Anyone near the MPC/IBC?

    When I went to two events whilst a few of the volunteers seemed a bit moody and one seemed a bit clueless;

'It's about half way up...' my seat was then in the penultimate row when asking where about my seat was. My sister came later and he said it was 'about a third of the way up...'.

However well done guys as most of you have been awesome!

Yeah, I would love some pins for by bag/accreditation tag and loads of people have loads but I do not even have 1 so cannot trade unless someone just gives me free ones...?

Yo guys quick question for anyone who can help me. I am currently voulunteering in the Olympics have already done 6 shifts and got 4 more left. I just logged into my account and it does my application is "under review" for paraolympics - so what are the chances this late I will still get a offer.

I was just wondering because I would not mind also doing the paraolympics if the chance does come up. Or all offers already made?

Same! Although there are so many people I've spoken to on VETM that I honestly do not know their names haha, I know the names of the people who've been on my team since Sat, but the rest I can't even guess!! I feel bad, because some I've spoken to them daily as well. What gates have you been working at? I know I'll miss the tennis watching and all the laughs. Did you get a hug from the soldier this morning when getting your water? bless him!

Yep four, one that's the same colours as our workbook logo, then the same pin in gold, silver and bronze. Then there's a thank you badge you get on your last day.
I noticed yesterday when working on the VIP gate how there's tonnes of pins. was talking to a Canadian guy at the bus stop today and he had LOADS and he was asking for a swap and I was like I have none then he was rummaging in his pockets, here's me getting my hopes up thinking I'll get one and he just decides to show me his collection bag, including his doubles :/

    What's MPC/IBC?

Couldn't go to my Paralympics UDAC today because I was ill and all the pre-listed dates on the games maker website are in the past, anyone else been in a similar situation or am I just by default out of the process now?

MPC is main press centre and IBC is international broadcasting centre. I work at the MPC.

A lot of people have approached me to swap pins but I only have about 4. Thank god they give you some so it looks like I have more haha. Best thing just happened about 10minutes ago though. I just finished my shift and got in, on the tube a guy pulled out a crap load of badges from his bag and handed me one. Nothing special I think because they hand them out for free at the Samsung store, anyway I also had a double acer badge so he gave me another Samsung badge for it! These Acer badges are way to common around the MPC. Nobody want's to swap for them. Hopefully I can get one good swap now.

A lot of journolists have pins too but they've never given me one when I've helped them Obviously not going to ask or anything, I'm there to help not work for pins. There are some news organisations that have brilliants ones though.

On another note; bumped into Bernie Ecclestone today (he was in the MPC) and accidentally got caught right up in all the press surrounding him. It's safe to say that I was on TV in a fair few countries. Thankfully someone pulled me out but yeah. Not before everyone surrounded him and got a camera around me and him basically.

Call them. There's still dates for UDAC since I've heard people are going on the 12th August, so just ring and explain, they'll tell you what dates they still have spare!
