One of my friends did counselling at University. The A Levels she studied were, Health and Social care, Psychology, Sociology and English Language.
I advice you stick to social sciences, but also choose another subject. In order to ensure you don't get bored with all simmilar subjects, and incase you change your mind later. Within two years you may easily change your mind on what career you want.
