Nursing common foundation programme

Hi, I was just wondering whislt on a common foundation programme for a degree or diploma do nurses get placements across all branches of nursing? Or only the branch that is chosen before starting the course and only the theory covers all branches? (silly quesiton i know i just wanted to make sure)

And if there is placements across all if i decide I like a certain branch of nursing more than the one i chose is it normally possible to transfer over to the branch?

Thanks!
it depends on your uni what placement streams they operate.
but, yes you can change branch... i did

Yes you can transfer to a different branch - although you'd have to let your uni know soonish and there might not be spare places in the branch you want either.

Also, at King's (at least for the PG Dip) we have 'Insight' placements which is basically just a week spent in the other branches, as well as maternity and LD I think.
