Re: The 'awwwwww' thread...A husky as a first dog is probably not the best idea. They are nothing like other dogs. They are beautiful dogs but can be difficult. You should go to the husky-owners website. There's loads of husky info and loads of very knowledgable people on there.(Original post by blueray)

Re: The 'awwwwww' thread...Try the Malamute, Tamaskan, Northern Inuit or Utonagan breeds, for starters. They all look fairly wolfy, and are somewhat more placid than huskies, from what I've seen and heard... (But that doesn't mean that they're like the "average" easy-going lazy dog, so don't just go and get one unprepared)
There are probably more but I can't think of any right now.Last edited by JGR; 20-01-2011 at 11:44. -

Oh, and my old horse makes me awww
I know he isn't small and fluffy, but he has the kindest eyes, cutest little white mark on his nose and softest muzzle.. He was playful and interested in everything I did. He would stand still and wait in anticipation if I told him to wait, very much like an energetic dog. If I scratched him behind his ears, he'd relax and cuddle his muzzle on my shoulder/neck, he was such a good boy.
Had to sell him because of moving to university. It was like selling my best friend.
He's so cute, he has such a kind face
I like horses with character, they're the ones I get so attached to.
