My AQA Psychology CW idea

Hey ! Ive got this idea for my Psychology AQA CW and i just wondered if anyone could tell me if i was going along the right lines, and if people think its a good idea.

Im basically going to write a mini fake crime. Like Mr so and so mugged an old lady and stole her purse.

Im going to show one set of people a photo of a nice looking ordinary bloke, and say he committed the crime, and ask people what sentence in prison they would give him.

Ill show a second set of people a photo of a rough criminal ugly bloke, and say he committed the crime, and ask people what sentence they would give him.

I hope to find that people stereotypically give the rough looking one a longer sentence overall, for exactly the same crime.

What do you guys think of that? Im aiming to base the study on stereotype. Does anyone know if im along the right lines, or if there are any relevant studies that could help me to do with stereotyping?

My teacher says i need at least 5 other similar studies to mine for my cw
