Pendle is far more active. Live bands are good in Pendle rooms,. and you have central down below standard accomodation (en suite is in middle of SW campus).

    Anyone eat during their exams?
I wonder if we are allowed to eat in the examination rooms? :P :perv:

We used to be allowed at college
I'm in a separate exam room because I have to use a computer in my exams, and none of us have ever eaten anything I don't think, but we are allowed drinks etc. I always take Lucozade with me and have never been asked to take the label off.

I just took a bottle of water. A few of my 3 hour exams saw people bring things like a banana in but not much else.

I didn't even have a drink - usually. Once you get into your essay answers, the time flies by anyway.

When i'm sitting in my final year exams, i don't think i'm gonna be worried about having snacks available! They're 2 hours at the most in one sitting aren't they? So there isn't really any reason to allow people to take food in unless it's for a medical reason.
Oic, I'm in my second year now and some of my exams are 3hours so I'm just wondering if any students from my university can answer my question

It seems to be a no from us Lancaster students (although I was in a separate room so I'm not 100%). I had three hour exams in my first year and it was fine with not eating. Eat a meal beforehand, and have a drink with some sugar in.

Ok thanks. It is just because most of my exams are 930 so I think it is very early for a meal but snacks.

I know what you mean with morning exams, I almost ever eat breakfast but have to force down some scrambled eggs on toast if I have an exam. I have a friend who always does exams on a full stomach of pasta, she gets up at like 6am for her to be hungry enough to eat it and then she goes to the exam hall.
The worst was the 3 hour 9.30 exam we had on a Saturday once. Not to mention the separate room I was in actually started at 9 and I'd not realised...

I'd say have two slices of toast to fill you up a bit and some chocolate or whatever for sugar, plus lucozade or something similar for when you're in there and then eat lunch when you get back.

I don't know if anyone on the first page has actually bothered to look that this thread is for Lancaster University and not a general question, but I'm a third year at Lancaster and my tutors have always told me to bring sweets to exams... :/

Sorry people I just checked the thread.
What I want to say is the purpose for me to open this thread is for advices from LANCASTER UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ONLY not the public.
I don't see the point for someone to start an argument in here rather than REPLY MY QUESTION.
