Hey! I'm going to Lancaster in October. Anyone doing drama or creative writing? -
Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadJust grad. I'm doing creative arts, 50% creative writing and 50% drama.(Original post by RonnetClaw)

Re: Official Lancaster University Chat Thread
Only because I didn't want to do 100% creative writing as an undergrad, and Lancaster was the only place I could find that did a joint honours with drama. Also, their English and Creative Writing course is 50/50 which most uni's don't do, and that was my original choice.

Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadDepends on timetable. We had ours in George Fox.(Original post by BeccaCath94)
Does anybody know where most maths lectures are in first year? -
Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadOk thank you(Original post by Tathrim)
Depends on timetable. We had ours in George Fox.

Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadProbably not. Depends on the course.(Original post by Sbapu)
My offer is AAB, but would the allow ABB?
Lancasters popularity has skyrocketed thanks to improved placement in league tables. Not many spaces going spare. -
Re: Official Lancaster University Chat Thread
Hard to say. They might allow BBB.
In my day people were getting AAB/ABB offers but people got in in ABC or BBC, but that was two years ago and in the physics department. For 2012 entry, the physics department gets about three times the number of admissions as in 2010. I don't know if this kind of pattern has happened in engineering though. Best thing you can do is see what happens on results day and call them up and plead with them if things don't go your way. -
Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadIve applied for English from october, and was told that you WILL get in if its your firm with an ABB by the lecturer. But maybe thats just english(Original post by Sbapu)

Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadIt should be. I'm living on £300pcm atm, but I could quite easily live on £200.(Original post by Breeze)
I have roughly 2k left after accommodation fees are paid. That's around £50 a week. Would that be enough to live off? -
Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadThe rooms don't HAVE aerial ports. We use Ethernet and an experimental Freeview based service called Resnet TV.(Original post by Breeze)
thanks! also are we able to receive sky channels through tv aerial ports in rooms? -
Re: Official Lancaster University Chat ThreadMy room had an aerial port in first year...(Original post by Tathrim)
The rooms don't HAVE aerial ports. We use Ethernet and an experimental Freeview based service called Resnet TV.
And it was one of the newer rooms.
