How much work is the nursing degree?

I am 21 and have just finished the access to HE course, and did about 60 assignments! I'm sure most access students know what I'm talking about when I say it was really hard work.

I'm worried I won't be able to cope with the amount of work on a nursinf degree course if it is anything like the amount of access work. Is it best to go for the diploma?
Please let me know of your experiences!

I think its totally down to personal preference.

I do the degree and went to uni straight from A levels. I think if you manage your time right, plan things out and get them do (just like with any work) then you'll be fine. There are sometimes when they just pile everything on and i wonder how on earth am i gonna get this done but always get there in the end.
The hardest part is trying to do uni work whilst on placement and trying to do other things aswell. Then it becomes a bit of a strain, but its still do-able.
